The work with Urgas Tradu.c.toras has allowed us to reach life-enhancing dialogues with defenders and activists of the Portuguese language that live in Brazil, because their work shows an ethical commitment. A point that we consider very satisfying is the attention that Urgas dedicates knowing our language as Fondo de Acción Urgente that supports trans feminists, feminists and women’s movements sustainability in Latin America. We appreciate their responsibility and translation putting the care in the center and recognizing all identities.

The Urgas Tradu.c.toras integrants executed many texts’ translations for the Rede Magdalena Internacional and were interpreters in different multilinguistics events, Forum Theater plays, theatrical presentations and artistics workshops. Our last work together was the translation of the article “Vai fazer 10 anos de tudo isso…”, by Mariana Villani for my book Teatro das Oprimidas - Estéticas Feministas para Poéticas Políticas (2019), available in 2020 in its Spanish edition. Working with Urgas is to have the certitude that each expression of our aesthetic-political language will be carefully translated with the same goal that I have as an author: to elicit in the person that is reading the desire of acting to transform! Responsibility with the deadlines, attention to the form and content details, creativity and articulation with the proposed themes, make Urgas a very special collective in which we can trust our words!

Urgas Tradu.c.toras developed a poem translation work written by me in Portuguese to Spanish.The translators were excellent during all the process, in the messages exchange, attentive to the text details looking for references and with the intention of being really involved with the poem. Translating a poem it’s, being explicit, a work with great difficulty because of the prosody, the sonority, fluidity and possible rhymes. Urgas did a great job, in a constant exchange with me, worried all the time if I was satisfied. The result was an excellent translation, rhythmical, that fits with what I think as poetic construction. After all, the translators also become writing poets.
